Art Lab (For 2nd and 3rd Grades ONLY) Is a visual arts program that will create frame-worthy masterpieces. The students will be exposed to a library of art literature that will introduce the art of the masters and their techniques. This program is presented in a process-oriented manner, the class taps the intrinsic curiosity of each individual students allowing them freedom of creative expression as they apply these techniques to create their own artwork inspired by the masters, the history and the culture . Art Lab students will use quality art materials. All new lessons from last year. Art Lab will keep even the most ingenious and spirited child engaged. $125 for 8 classes. Max 15 Students


LEGO Bricks for Kidz, Students participate in 8 week sessions focusing on exciting STEM based motorized creations using LEGO® bricks.All curriculums have been created and designed by engineers and educators.These are hands-on classes where students will design and build machines, vehicles,and other structures. Each class begins with a lesson discussion on the weekly topic. At the end of each session, students are also encouraged to modify the design, unleashing their creativity. The class is fun, exciting and educational. $125 for 8 classes, Max 20 students.

Movie Making – CDI with Computers, Create, Design, and Imagine with Movie Making class will teach students how to produce their own DVD with pictures, video, music, sounds, and special effects. This fun and exciting class combines hands on experience, science; go “behind the scenes” with real producers! Movie making, photo editing, and creative web software will be used. **Web-sites have been viewed by the LHT Technology Department – Mr. Blinder, the Instructor. ** In addition, Students will have a finale presentation of the skills that they learned. $120 for 8 classes. Max 8 students.

Mad Science – NASA Academy of Future Space Explorers, From our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program for children sends them on a quest for exploration! Comets, planets, stars and more are all waiting to be discovered. Learn about the four forces of flight, the challenges of space travel, and participate in a rocket launch! Topics include: Planets & Moons, Rocket Science, Atmosphere & Beyond, Space Phenomena, Sun & Stars, Space Travel, Living In Space, Space Technology. $145 for 8 classes. Max 15 students.

FORCE Homework Club, Provides a safe and enriching environment for students in grade two through fifth to complete their homework. In addition to homework assistance, this program aims to provide additional opportunities for growth in math, reading, and writing skills. Additional activities range from group games and projects of life skill lesson focused on teamwork, respect and conflict resolution. Each session will be taught by Long Hill teachers. $90 for 8 classes. Max 10 students.

Minecraft, The Minecraft class is designed to teach kids STEM concepts, encourage reading and teamwork, while having fun. Each week students will build on the skill learned the prior week. Each student will have their own ipad or computer to learn and play with. Matt DiGiorgio and Mason DiGiorgio will both teach and assist this class. Please note there will be NO Class on April 14th. That class will be rescheduled for May 12th. $120 for 8 classes. Max 6 students.

All classes subject to minimum enrollment of 5 students, make up days are May 12th and/or 19th if needed.

Wee Little Artist,Wee Little Artist is a visual arts program, being delivered to Gillette School by qualified professionals, dedicated to engage and empower children through their discovery process. Our approach fosters creativity in students and encourages the development of critical thinking and find motor skills. Our teachers are guided by the founder Melissa Bradshaw’s award-winning curriculum, a step-by-step process for developing a young minds through drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Each session builds upon the next, reinforce with art history and age-appropriate children’s literature. All new lessons from last year, Students will create masterpieces while developing their skills. Wednesday and Friday classes will be working on same art pieces. $120 for 8 classes. Max 15 students.

Tae Kwon Do, Tae Kwon Do the world’s most popular martial art. Students will learn and develop the form of the martial art into several domains: as with many other arts, it combines combat techniques, defense, sport, exercise, mediation and philosophy. Students will hold an exhibition show and receive awards at the end of the 8-week session. $110 for 8 classes. Max 24 students.

NEW! Wharton Music Ctr – Performing Arts,
Wharton Music Center will be running a Performing Arts class. Class will work on a short show, theatrical exercises and games. There will be a performance at last class of the session. Last class consisting of final rehearsal and performance. $120 for 8 classes. Max 14 students.

Karate In this program, students will learn basic karate movements while developing their discipline and concentration. Sponsored by Soo Bahk Do Karate.$100 for 8 classes, Max 20 students.


Robotics by Construct-U (STEM Projects), In the ROBOTICS Hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) After School Enrichment Program, students learn about electricity and robotics. Students will design, create and build Robots, Structures & Robotic Vehicles with a focus on Math & Science applications using real life goals & objectives. They will study basic electricity using motors, light emitting diodes, batteries, switches and cables. $125 for 8 classes, Max 20 students.

Magic/Aviation, Two Classes in One!

Aviation, Soar with your own hand-made high flying aircraft!In this exciting program you’ll learn to build your own aircrafts and delight as they soar overhead. You’ll have the perfect experience for your after school hours! Our aviators build high-flying balsa wood motorized airplanes that can climb to altitudes as far up as four stories. Just make sure to watch out for birds! Sleek, fast, and efficient, these crafts shoot toward the sun in rocket-like ascent. Next you’ll discover our Long Distance Fliers that are made for wind endurance, traveling lengths as great as a football field and maintaining flight durations of up to three minutes. You can’t miss out on that incredible fun!

Magic, Join us in this fantastical, fun-filled adventure where you’ll become a fully practicing magician and learn to perform both stunning stage feats and dazzling close-up innovations! In this program you’ll discover the magic secrets tightly guarded for centuries, passed down only from magician to magician. From changing objects to mystic mind bogglers, we have several tricks to hide up both your sleeves. We’ll learn to perform famous wonders such as making objects disappear from thin air, and then re-materialize again as if nothing had happened. And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ll show you how to astound with a mastery of mind-reading tricks. You’ll appear to pick answers right out of your audience’s brains! Each trick is specially tailored to suit a young magician’s unique talents; because we know your amazing abilities are as vast as your imagination. Mad Science & Spy Academy, Join Mad Science as we explore what it takes to be a detective, a forensic scientist and even a spy! Topics will include Discover Detection, Crime Lab, Funky Forensics, Sleuths on the Scene, Spy Academy and more! $145 for 8 classes, Max 15 students.
Animation, Utilizing Ipads, students will learn easy to use software to create short animated films. Various materials will be used to create these movies and to allow students to use their own creative energy. $100 for 8 classes, Max 8 students.

NEW CLASS! Computer FUNdamentals, Computer skills have become an important part of our curriculum. Have fun with Mrs. Riggi learning about the fundamentals of the Windows based computer!I Students will gain a basic understanding of the care and use of the computer. They will explore various programs and practice keyboarding skills as well as the use of the mouse. Lastly, the appropriate use of the Internet will be introduced along with computer games. $120 for 8 classes. Max 15 students.


NEW CLASS! Kangaroo Kidz, has been developed to enhance your child’s overall body fitness while increasing his or her total self-image and confidence in a positive way. Incorporating gymnastic activities in a progressive program to improve your child’s strength and flexibility. We will stretch, Do cartwheels, head stands, bridges and then the equipment.The remainder of the lesson, we work on the equipment balance beams, vaulting, bars and incline mats just to mention a few. Each week there is something new and different, to keep the interest of our participants, we are constantly changing the curriculum of activities. In addition to “gymnastic” type activities, we also have relay races, sack races, and other games that require keeping even familiar skill building exercises fresh and exciting. At Kangaroo Kidz our goal is to make exercise fun! A Special 4 week class on April 17, 24 May 1, 8 for only $60. Max 10 students.
